LIVING TRADITION – RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HOTEL IN OPEN AIR MUSEUM ETAR

1st PRIZE WINNER IN OPEN ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION

The building of the hotel originally erected in 1981 is a multi-shape five storey structure featuring traditional details such as prominent bay windows and eaves.
The project foresees architectural interventions necessary for the modern-day functioning and accessibility of the building, yet without compromising its authentic appearance.
The reconstruction is consistent with the existing image of the hotel and reflects the client’s wish to work within a contemporary European network of similar establishments, embracing the approved graphic identity of the museum Etar, exemplified by the new slogan “LIVING TRADITION”.
